Things were a lot better in Los Angeles over the holidays of 2023. When everybody had all their parties and Friendsgivings and all this, yes, the money was good.

In Chicago by O'Hare to get a pickup from the terminal one must wait in the lot for their turn. But here it is a good place to take a break with a lot of clean port a potties and a food truck most days. At the same time while waiting for that airport pickup the area around the lot can give you rides since it is known for a lot of hotels and convention centers. So trip radar can be going off with that. I'll often set up a reservation ride or two too the airport very early in the morning, then wait at the airport for a pickup. Then wherever that pickup leads I'll make a bunch of short rides, maybe switch to Lyft if Uber is dead in that area.

This is why we need new Rideshare companies like WRidez; YRide; Omni, etc more competition less hokus pokus

No to teens, no to shared rides, no to any account that has pronouns on it, no to any ride under 6 or 7 dollars, no to any ride that’s a service setting up rides for people, no to any ride with negative miles to dollars, no to any rider under 4.7, no to any ride to bad parts of town, no to quest, no to boost pay hours and so on and on…….

I live in Franklin TN, which is south of Nashville. I signed up for Lyft and got 2 or 3 rides my first day for about an hour and a half and then it stopped. So I switched over to Uber. Every time I check the Lyft app there are no rides available but also 5 or 6 drivers in my area. Occasionally there will be a reservation that pops up which also isn't worth my time. But with Uber, I get a ride as soon as I start and will drive continuously until I decide to stop (usually after 8-10 hours). I also stopped doing UberEats because I got tired of McDonald's, Wendy's, and Taco Bell orders popping up

That was in 2023, when it was still worth driving and it is only one trip per day. Not worth it wasting my time cherry picking.

In Austin this only works during certain times beyond that I try to go for medium distance rides at like 7-10 dollars because beyond that longer rides arent worth it if you can rip through a few during the hour if within 5 minutes of each other.

When your passenger gets into your vehicle never ask how are you doing? Your obligating them to say more then they may want to. Simply say hello. Next confirm the drop off location. By alleans feel free to use the windows or let me know if you need heat. Is their a particular radio station you would like to listen to? If by chance you decide you would like to make a stop along the way please take a second to add it in the app so my next passenger will know of any delays in their trip. Even a two min delay could get me into trouble. That's all you need to say to people. Unfortunately you have to say this because people will always ask if you can make a quick stop. Even with a promise of a tip. If they don't wanna pay an extra dollar or two in the app their not tipping cause you wanna be a sucker.

The passenger is the one who should set the drop off location. By using the pin that says set on map. Other wise it will default to thr common drop off spot. Unfortunately it's is best to ask since people choose not to set the drop off pin

This is just straight up wrong. 90% of the customers who give me tips are the customers who I had a conversation with. Riders are much more likely to tip a driver they like, a rider cannot like you if you haven't said anything. Good conversations are the key to tips, period. The quiet ones decided if they were going to tip or not before they even got into in the car.

What are apps names?

2024 They've had an app out for over 2 years how come not one single driver has left the review talking about their business and driving? You could even have the sister brother friend or pay somebody $10 to just put your name in their review and say that they actually use your service so all those drivers could get some kind of idea it's been 3 years? 2024 Juneteenth show me at least one Google review or somewhere that somebody's written your name down and talked about your service and I'll sign right up and pay you whatever you need

Isolated to this driver. I've been on the platforms for almost 10 years based in the Bay Area. I legit don't see anything like this ever anymore. I got bombarded with 4,5, 6 dollar rides. I have an XL vehicle and live in an XL desert. I'm getting requests, 20 mins and 15 miles away, going equal distance and time, being offered $14.

How about doing a video of less populated cities that have high surge and do a video of Lyft Uber drivers pay in smaller cities like Wichita ks ! Thank you

I get quite a bit of tips tbh but I also get some saying I'll tip u in the app, if I say I will I will I'm not like that and then they dont lol, even after making a stop they didnt add. I am a driver in Las Vegas. Drivers need to realize quick that their job is in jeopardy. I would venture to guess that in most major cities, Uber drivers will lose their job to AUTONOMOUS vehicles. That is why venture capitalist investors are still dumping money into Uber and Lyft, despite the fact that they are both still unprofitable. Plus all of the billions of dollars across the country to upgrade cell phone towers to 5G. 5G is not for cell phones. It is for AUTONOMOUS vehicles. Everyone needs to find another gig before the hammer drops. Drivers were only a temporary fix to get these companies started, but now rideshare is a necessity instead of a luxury, they can move riders over to AUTONOMOUS vehicles. It is only a matter of time and we do not have much time.

It's kind of funny because the TOS says no one under 18, yet they have UberTeen, so Uber contradicting themselves.

When a passenger leaves your vehicle, rather than saying "have a nice day" of course thank them and then change it up and say, "have a super cool day, have an epic night, if it's a Monday, say, "have an awesome week".. if they engaged you in conversation, tell, them "very nice meeting you" using here first name... if they are tourists recommend some nice restaurants by their hotel.. a little goes a long way $$$$

Hey, can you share some of whatever you’re smoking with the rest of us cause you’re not living in the real world. Riders are cheap. They don’t tip. We need full transparency the rider and the driver both need to see what the rider is paying and the rider and the driver need to see what percentage goes to Uber and what percentage goes to the driver, then maybe they’ll tip, MAYBE.

Uber n lyft are trash..my car starting running like shit..as soon as i stopped and did a full tune up and spent over $1500 on work its good again. Never again i drive for no app.

uber put their wirner into my butt every day. I think ive had one day that had zzero fake orders or wasting time on the phone with THEM. They arent customer support because drivers arent customers- uber is your customer so stop serving them.

my car keeps track of the mile per hour over time= its never over 20. Unless you reset it and take on trip on the tollway.

Guys my experience in Philly is fewer cherries if decline it gets slow for me. What seems to be the case is they very per mile widely if a trip is averaging 20-23 miles per hour the pay is usually $1/ mile. Heavy traffic averaging 10-12 miles per hour trip pays $2-$2.75 or so. I’m including time & distance to rider. So for me I’m finding $23-$25/hr under most circumstances regardless of surges or boosts.

I never take them anymore unless its surged and going a few short miles and I stop requests so I'm not pinged on anyone else, but I did a $25 share that went a few miles this morning, forgot to turn off (rush hour) and two others got added on (ugh!). I did it just to get it over with, but the third rider ran late. As I was about to cancel, he came out. Same pickup for all 3 ppl who didn't know each other, so I didn't have to grab the other two. I no longer do share for a variety of reasons, but if you did a video, you guys can explain your perspective - Too many riders often - They don't understand that its 2mins only - They don't understand that they can't edit the trip or hop out someplace else (one person did that out of the 3 today, but I still drove to her dropoff, so if the complains I have her on camera saying she wants to get out) - They can't have bags! LOL! Picked up a girl who had two luggage, I told her if I pick up two other ppl with luggage, no one has space. You do realize this is common sense when ordering a Share, right? It's on Uber's own website under Share to order an UberX if you have luggage Also, Boston Market here... many of the previous Share riders tell me that it takes a looong time to be matched to a driver. I tell them the reasons drivers don't do Share, and they agree, yet they are still requesting Share.

ive seen some really weird uber x rides, and even comfort rides. no surge, barely even gray on the map either, and ill see some unicorn ride pop up when everything else is 1/3 the price. sergio, did you know that uber rips the rider off if they are using certain credit cards with benefits? i had a rider change their destination, and i did it for him on his phone, i was getting like 15 bucks for the ride and they paid closer to 80. but it also said "Amex uber promotion" for their payment method which tells me the card holder has some kind of cash value to use uber, so uber jacks the price up so the person gets less rides from that money.
